Product Abstract: From the flowering tops or the entire plant of the annual Ocimum basilicum L that is native to Asia and Africa, but is now cultivated worldwide. The plant grows from 15 to 45cm tall and flowers from May to September. Its name is derived from the Greek word “basileus” which means “royal or king-like” due to its royal type fragrance. Basil is one of the most popular culinary herbs in the world and has also been used in cultural and traditional rituals, aromatherapy, perfumery, medicinal treatments, and food preservation. It is used to help stimulate, calm, energize, and uplift the mind, and reduce anxious feelings.
